TeamHero Cookie Policy
Version: 10 June 2026 Effective from: 10 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how TeamHero uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and in the Service, in accordance with the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR. The current version is published at https://theteamhero.com/cookies.
1. What cookies are
1.1. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDK identifiers) are treated the same way under this Policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core functionality: authentication, session management, security, load balancing | Session to 12 months | No (exempt) |
| Functional | Remember preferences such as language and theme | Up to 12 months | Yes |
| Analytics | Understand usage to maintain and improve the Service | Up to 24 months | Yes |
| Marketing | Measure campaigns and tailor content | Up to 12 months | Yes |
2.1. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website and Service to work and are set without consent. All other categories are set only after you give consent.

3. Consent
3.1. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies by category. Non-essential cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) are not set until you give consent. Rejecting non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them: the banner provides an equally prominent "Reject all" control. We record your choice and ask again after 12 months or if our cookie use materially changes, and we honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.
3.2. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time through the "Cookie settings" control on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies already read before withdrawal, and it stops further use of the affected categories.
4. Managing cookies
4.1. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — blocking or deleting existing cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.
4.2. Most browsers provide guidance on managing cookies in their help pages.
5. Changes to this Policy
5.1. We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. Material changes are communicated on the website before they take effect.
